Nick is an experienced musician and cello teacher with over 5 years of teaching experience. He has taught in public and private sector schools and for community music services, and now focuses on teaching privately from home where he has best access to the resources which have made him successful.
Whilst ensuring his students learn the most natural and successful techniques, Nick focuses on the musicality and performance techniques which not only make the cello sound much more interesting and melodic, but also make the whole experience of playing musically so much more inspiring, whatever age or standard. This is achieved alongside learning general musicianship, theory and aural skills.
Nick teaches musicians of all ages and abilities, including the complete beginner. He offers half-hour or hour long lessons either weekly or fortnightly, and is based only a 1 minute walk away from Blackheath rail station in the centre of the village. Whether you wish to take grade exams or just play for fun, Nick makes learning a vibrant experience.
