About Nick

Nick is a Cellist and a Singer. He performs regularly across London and further afield in a wide variety of venues both as a soloist and with ensembles.

Alongside his performance work, Nick teaches private students across London and works with schools. He has become renowned for teaching a full musical understanding to his students alongside the techniques required for their instrument, allowing them to enjoy playing it for the reason it was intended - making music.

Nick studied Music at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, graduating in the summer of 2005. His degree was based around the cello and string techniques and he became the principal cellist of the highly-acclaimed University of East Anglia Symphony Orchestra. During his studies Nick also sang with the choir of Norwich Cathedral performing services every day.

Nick started teaching in a Saturday Morning music centre for children in Northampton towards the end of his first year at University, teaching music theory and keyboard technique alongside co-directing a string orchestra and teaching private lessons in Cello, Violin and Piano. By the end of his studies, Nick had several private students around Norwich.

In the summer of 2005 Nick moved to London and concentrated on promoting his Singing. Today, Nick is a successful performer and has continued his private teaching based in the London area, and has worked with several local music services teaching cello and running ensembles for children.
